Alright, first thing read
this guide at AO Universe regarding Land Control.
Once you got the basics, here is what needs to be done.
Have someone with a yalmaha (not using phasefront air vehicles) fly over the areas which you think we can handle (each field has a level range). Keep in mind that the regular tactic for an organization is to plant the lowest QL Control Tower that the field allows and then plant the highest QL guardian conductors and turrets allowed. This tactic usually means that those who are the correct level to destroy conductors/turrets wouldn't be able to attack the CT so lower levels would have to finish it off and then plant a new CT to take over the field.
The person doing the recon must note the following information:
Location of the Notum Field, including zone and coordinates
Minimum and Maximum Level Range of the Notum Field
Average QL of conductors/turrets
QL of the Control Tower
How many SAM batteries if any are there
GMT Times when the Notum Field is open to attack (5hrs when the gas suppression is at 25% and the following hr when it goes down to 5%, 6hrs total when it's vulnerable), this info is available by inspecting the CTOnce all the information is gathered, then some things needs to be decided.
Do we have enough members at the right level and to attack and destroy all the conductors/turrets and the CT?
Do we have enough of them online when the Notum Field is vulnerable?
Does the defending org have enough members online to defend during our attack? (this can be done by using our bot /online org NAME-OF-ORG)
Do we have the right QL CT (lowest QL possible) to be planted right away if we win?If the answer to all these questions is
YES, then you move on to the following step.
Tell members to prepare a certain QL conductors and towers ahead of time through a post in this forum.
In the same post be clear of the day and time when the attack will take place and where to gather (not too close to the Notum Field).
Use of the raid channel to coordinate (type !join in org chat) and lead the attack.I'm not a PvP expert, but I've learned these basic over the years when I did participate occasionally in tower wars.
It takes a bit of data gathering to have the best possible change at a target, keep that in mind.
Note: Someone with the Lost Eden expansion can place a Laser Tagging Device anywhere in a notum field (when it's vulnerable) to trigger an Air Strike or Orbital Bombardment, you can read the guide about that here. Please be aware that another person needs to be inside our HQ (requires Alien Invasion expansion) to active either attack.
