These are the basic rules which members should abide by. They are based on common sense, and game mechanics (things that helps you stay out of trouble).
1.
Everyone is equal in our org regardless of rank (of course this doesn't apply when role-playing) so treat everyone like you'd like to be treated. You are
required to post your application in this forum
within 24hrs of joining our org. Failure to do so, will mean
violation of org rules and you will be
released from our org.
2. Any problems with an orgmate or someone outside which you think is a
serious issue is to be brought to
an officer or myself if I'm online (you can always drop me a PM in our forums or speak to me privately through Teamspeak).
3.
Do not sell items to orgmates through org chat, if you can't give it away, don't post it in org chat. If you are selling through shopping channels and an orgmate contacts you privately to buy, we consider that
a private transaction and outside org rules.
4. Try your best
not to train. There are times when you may not be able to avoid that. For example when you're getting yourself trained and you end up training someone else as you run for your life.
Be prepared to shout ahead and warn people.
5.
Don't ninjaloot. This means that if your team killed a boss or something valuable dropped, discuss the loot order.
Don't kill steal. This means that if someone else is attacking a mob first which is not with you or your team, don't attack that mob unless the person asks for help.
6.
You must turn auto-attack feature OFF before crossing any notum field. To do this, press F10 to get your Preferences window, then under Behaviour you'll see "Auto Attack Monster" and "Auto Attack Player", turn them both off. This will avoid any possible chance of a member accidentally attacking a tower/conductor while crossing a notum field. We don't want to start a war with any org unprepared.
Nobody is to attack a tower site without the approval of a PvP Officer or myself.
7.
Don't ask for credits or items, doing that means that you will be one foot out the door.
Nobody likes beggars. Ask for help on how to make credits or help in getting an item instead.
8. Being either tired or frustrated sometimes clouds good judgment, avoid making a bad mistake with orgmates if you think you are loosing your cool.
Log off, take a break, go watch tv or listen to your mp3 player.
9.
Help orgmates when you can, not only because it's the right thing to do but also because the lowbie you help today, may be the one that can help you later on.
10.
List all your alts that are in our org with both our Militarynet and Backup bots, type !alts add
NAME in org chat, you must do this from your main. Also post the name of main and alts in
this topic (you can only access it after you join the org, it's located in our private forums.
11.
When you open a shop in our market, please rename it to "Main Name's Shop #1" even if you only have one shop, if you have more number them 2,3,4, etc. Anyone not following this format
will get their shop closed, some exceptions may be made. Currently there are no limits as to how many shops you may have open, this
may change depending on the needs of members.
12.
Teamspeak is for communication, but we also joke around and socialize besides it's main use for
team/raid coordination. Please keep in mind that singing, playing music and obnoxious behavior will be
slightly tolerated, but when you are asked to stop,
you got to respect that.
13. If you are going to be away from the game a while, be it a few days or a few weeks do let us know so
we don't accidentally release you for inactivity. Post in the topic
"Not playing AO for a while? Post Here! " in "The Bar" private forum.
14.
Neither myself, officers or members are obligated to drop what we're doing to help you. Keep in mind we do our best to help members, but we also need some time to do our own personal gaming, help friends (who may not be in our org), socialize and do RL things besides online gaming.
15.
Events in our Calendar are not guaranteed, they are done on a voluntary basis by myself and Raiding Officers. Events marked with (O) are run by Raiding Officers, and (W) are run by me on my main or an alt.[/b]
Note: All Calendar runs (RP/R&R Events Excluded) are considered raids and therefore Raid Rules are in effect. Once you are a member of our clan you will be able to see these rules in our Raids forum.
This set of rules may be amended at any given time. If anything is changed/updated, there will always be an announcement at our main site.
